Stephen Ritz is the Founder of the Green Bronx Machine and quite frankly a miracle worker in the classroom and beyond.  Stephen has been revitalizing education, food quality and community in the poorest congressional district in the country.  Stephen saw beyond the limits of poverty and recognized that educational opportunities, joy, health and wellness can all come from a curriculum that is based on growing food and cooking in the classroom.  His students have grown over 65,000 lbs. of food and are not only changing the health and potential of themselves and their families in the Bronx but also the Green Bronx Machine model is now being implemented in over 6000 classrooms all over the world!
