About
My name is Theresa Gabrielle. I am a mother, wife, activist, entrepreneur and lover of nature. My deepest love affair has always been with nature. My heart belongs in the wild. I took every opportunity in my teens and college years to be in the mountains with my friends. I sought out children’s summer camps so I could find refuge from the city from a very young age. This love of nature caused me to be an avid activist from a very early age.
I enjoy traveling and immersing myself in different cultures, and people. I love learning from other people. Everyone on this planet is so unique but similar. There is nothing better than sitting down with a stranger and having a heartfelt authentic conversation. Heart connections. I search them out where ever I go.
I am an entrepreneur. I’ve created and owned a few successful businesses (some not so successful too). My background is in Social Services, Environmental Education, and Design. I have spent the last ten years with a focus on designing spaces that support the health and well being of people and our planet. My underlying passion has always been consistent. That is to create positive change. I recognize that positive change starts with working first on myself.
I woke up one morning in late 2017 and said to my husband I needed to start a podcast about all the great things people are doing in this world. He was not surprised by my early morning passionate declaration because he has been my partner for 20 years. He responded by asking ‘what the heck is a Podcast’? I told him I had no idea but I would figure it out! I then started listening to podcasts like crazy!
Most of my big directional moments have come to me in my sleep or in the sauna.
My husband was shocked, in the beginning of our relationship, how I would often randomly wake up and declare a complete life change. I remember one morning waking up and declaring that my soul was dying and I had to quit my six-figure job immediately. He may have experienced panic at that one! But he supported me every step of the way. That was a pivotal moment in my life. It was the moment I started listening to what my soul needed and from there I consciously let go of the ‘status quo’. We both recognize, after all these years, the importance of listening to our essence. There is something greater at work here.
This podcast is answering the call of the wild for me, and the call to focus on the vitality of this world. To focus on those people that are designing and creating using their positivity, ingenuity, passion, intuition and love. Those people that recognize clearly that what we do now, directly affects ourselves, the next seven generations, the planet and all life on earth. We are creating ‘the ripple effect’.
